About

A small firm, on purpose

Binary Consulting is a software consultancy in Belgrade. We build and integrate business systems on the Microsoft stack — and we keep the team small enough that the person who designs your system is the person who builds it.

The firm grew out of 25 years of hands-on .NET work: line-of-business applications, integrations between systems that were never designed to talk, and the long tail of keeping all of it running in production. That history shapes how we work. We write specifications before code, we document decisions as we make them, and we assume every system we deliver will outlive the engagement.

Today the work splits in two. On one side, we design and build ATLAS, our own multi-tenant SaaS platform for tourism agencies — which means we live with the consequences of our architecture decisions every day. On the other, we consult on enterprise Azure integration, where the questions are about message contracts, retirement timelines and business cases rather than features.

Being small is a deliberate constraint. It means we take on fewer projects than we are asked to, and that the ones we take get senior attention from start to finish. If a project needs a team of thirty, we are the wrong firm — and we will say so in the first conversation.

Written before built

A specification that a competent engineer could implement without us in the room. If we cannot write it down, we do not understand it yet.

Boring where it counts

Proven technology in the core, novelty only where it earns its place. Your accounting integration is not the place to try something new.

Honest estimates

We would rather lose a deal than win it on a number we do not believe. When something is uncertain, we say so and price the uncertainty.

Handover-ready

Everything we deliver is built so another team could take it over. Lock-in is not a business model we are interested in.

Have a system that needs to talk to another system?

Send us a short description of the problem. You will get a considered answer from an engineer — not a sales sequence.
